Over 40 years of rehabilitating wildlife
Aark is a non-profit wildlife center that rehabilitates injured animals and educates about harmonious coexistence. Our primary goals are rehab, release, and education.
As a rehabilitation center, Aark admits sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife daily. The goal is to return these animals to their natural environment as quickly as possible. Annually more than 5,000 birds mammals, reptiles, and amphibians receive care at Aark, making it one of the busiest wildlife center in Pennsylvania. Due to habitat loss, and human expansion, the need for wildlife rehabilitation centers and the services provided by them is at an all time high.
Aark is staffed by wildlife professionals and volunteers who provide service every day. They attend to sick, injured, and orphaned animals throughout the day and night. Trained professionals are available by phone to answer questions and offer assistance, including capturing and transporting wounded animals. Aark is staffed from 8 am to 8 pm in spring and summer, and from 11 am to 4 pm in fall and winter.
